About
Leila Hilf is a Jewish, Chinese-American filmmaker from Metro Detroit with a lifetime fascination with animation. Since moving to Los Angeles, she has written, directed, and produced multiple award-winning short films at the prestigious University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. Outside of school, Leila has honed her voice and craft during her numerous film development internships, independent projects, and in the LA stand-up comedy scene. With expertise in screenwriting, film development, and comedy, Leila dreams of working in animation and one day creating her own animated TV show. Leila champions off-beat, comedic, female-driven stories and seeks to make Hollywood more inclusive, funnier, and representative of viewers internationally. When she's not working, she enjoys reading the New York Times Crossword, playing with her cat, Butters, and performing stand-up comedy around Los Angeles.
